What does the Quran actually say about patience? How can I read all the verses in the Quran about patience?
The answer isn't in one place. It runs through dozens of surahs and bringing it together has traditionally meant years of study or a shelf of Arabic tafsir.
Today we launched Topics in Maani : 354 Quranic themes across 18 subject areas, from Acts of the Heart to Prophetic Biography. Each one is built on a peer-reviewed research paper from the Encyclopedia of Thematic Tafsir, used with the permission of the Tafsir Center for Quranic Studies.
موسوعة التفسير الموضوعي للقرآن الكريم
مركز تفسير للدراسات القرآنية
Every topic gives you:
• A study guide: the key verses, the Arabic words to know and the theme explained section by section, quoting the paper itself
• Every verse the paper discusses (158 for patience alone)
• A way to ask questions about the topic, answered only from that paper, with the passages cited so you can check them
A few principles we held to while building it:
• The AI never writes Quran text. Verses are always shown from the Quran itself.
• If the paper doesn't cover your question, it says so instead of guessing.
• Every study guide is free to read.
It's live on both the webapp and android now, in English to start. We will be releasing this in other languages too insha Allah soon.
Huge thanks to ITQAN (مجتمع إتقان لتقنيات القرآن) and the members there for helping us to get the permission to use the exclusive content from the Tafsir Center for Qur’anic Studies.
